By Martin Mawyer
“Victory at all costs,” Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network, told hundreds of Britons in Trafalgar Square, England.
In an event hosted by the British-Pakistani Christian Association, Mawyer encouraged Englanders to stand tall and fearless against the rise of Islamic threats and demands for Sharia law sweeping the nation.
In recent years, native Englanders have engaged in dozens of battles against fundamentalist Muslims who want Britain to become Sharia compliant. Many of those battles have been lost to the loud shrills of Islamic radicals.
Besides England granting Muslims their own Sharia Courts (that have often engaged in settling even criminal disputes) the country has faced a disturbing increase in forcing native Englanders to abide by Islamic law – including firing workers who make disparaging remarks about Islam, forcing restaurants and schools to serve Halal food and requiring business owners to comply with Sharia practices and scriptures.
“How dreadful are the curses which Islam lays on its followers. Far from being dead,” Churchill said, “Islam is a militant and proselytizing faith.”
In the speech made in March 2012, Mawyer reminded Englanders that Sir Winston Churchill once warned, “How dreadful are the curses which Islam lays on its followers. Far from being dead,” Churchill said, “Islam is a militant and proselytizing faith.”
Addressing a crowd that seemed startled at times over Churchill’s former comments on Islam, Mawyer told them that this heroic and cherished leader of their country once said Islam is the “religion of blood and war.”
Churchill even called Islam “a form of madness.”
Despite the growing anxiety and restlessness of the crowd over Churchill’s views on Islam, Mawyer continued his speech by citing one of the world’s most tragic examples of Islamic violence against Christians.
“What better example of this madness…this blood… this war than the tragic story of Shahbaz Bhatti (a Pakistani politician) who was gunned down in a hail of bullets earlier this year simply because he was a Christian who was trying to save the life of another Christian, Asia Bibi, who has been sentenced to death in Pakistan for allegedly offending a warlord who called himself a prophet.”
Mawyer then compared the peaceful teachings of Jesus to the violent teachings of Mohammed.
“Jesus said: ‘Go into all the world and teach the Gospel to every creature.’”
“But the Quran says,” Mawyer pointed out, “‘So fight them until there is no more disbelief and all submit to the religion of Allah alone.”
“In Christianity and in a civilized world,” Mawyer told the audience, “we do not behead apostates, we do not cut off the limbs of criminals, we do not hang homosexuals, we do not make women our slaves, and we do not take victims of rape, bury them up to their shoulders, and stone them to death.
“In a civilized world, we do not fly airplanes into buildings, send suicide bombers into tube stations or buses. We do not bomb trains, blow up hotels, or stash explosives in our shoes or underpants to kill hundreds of innocent souls. We do not sexually mutilate our women.
“In a civilized society we do not arrest people for criticizing religion.”
Mawyer concluded by citing Sir Winston Churchill admonition to stay the course in spite of terror, “It’s not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what’s require.”
