In what could have been a video recorded straight from the deadly streets of the Middle East—where Muslim violence is rampant—a new video has emerged showing Muslims stoning Christian evangelists right here in America.
The assault took place in June during the Dearborn, Michigan, Arab Festival. In the horrific attack, Muslim youths hurled rocks, chunks of cement, bottles, water and even urine at the peaceful Christian demonstrators. One of the group’s leaders, Ruben Israel, suffered a severe head gash during the incident.
Shockingly, the Dearborn police and sheriff’s officers not only refused to protect the Christians, but they forced the Christian group to leave the festival, and blamed the violence on the Christians—accusing them of causing the assault just by their presence.
“This is one of the most horrific occurrences of anti-Christian violence I have ever seen,” said Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network. “If it wasn’t for the occasional presence of police officers—who only showed up to harass the Christians instead of stopping the violence—I believe this Islamic mob would have stoned these Christians to death.”
‘Do You Want To Get ****ing Racked?’
The mob consisted mostly of children and teenagers, with their parents and adult Muslims visible hovering in the background watching the violence unfold. The video clearly shows that the Christians asked the police to protect them, but police refused, saying they did not have enough officers. Once the police left the scene, the angry Muslim crowd—which included little girls wearing burqas— began to curse and stone them. Chunks of cement, sharp objects, rocks, large boxes, eggs and even urine were hurled.
In the video, it is clear that the Christian men never yelled back or responded to the violence. Little children, with Muslim adults looking on, yelled “**** you!” to the Christians. One Muslim teen taunted the Christians and screamed anti-Christian epithets. Another shouted,
“Do you want to get ***ing racked?”
Officers told the Christians they don’t have the manpower to protect them, yet 12 officers escorted the Christians out after threatening to arrest them if they did not leave.
“Your safety is in harm’s way. You need to protect everybody,” said Deputy Chief Mike Jaafar of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, who himself is a Muslim. “You do have the option to leave. I just want to make that clear.”
Ruben Israel, a Christian demonstrator, replied, “You have the option to stand with us” as officer Jaafar abruptly walked away.
Dearborn, Michigan, has the largest Muslim population of any city in the United States—nearly 45 percent.
During the same Arab Festival in 2010 and 2011, Christians were arrested for distributing Gospel tracts, although they have a constitutional right to peacefully protest and distribute material. In 2009 a pastor was prohibited from distributing tracts; he later sued claiming his First Amendment rights were violated. A U.S. Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Christian pastor.
“Despite this finding in favor of free speech and against the city of Dearborn, these anti-Christian officers are continuing to violate the rights of Christian Americans,” said Mawyer. “Watching this horrifying video and the hateful, obscene, violent behavior of these Muslims—many of them children who have obviously been raised to despise Christian Americans—it is really no wonder that radical Islamic doctrine is spreading throughout America.”
Assaulted by SUV
Just days after the stoning attack, the same Christian group was assaulted again, this time by a Muslim man who tried to murder seven of them by hitting them with his SUV while they were demonstrating in front of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, site of the nation’s largest mosque. The man, Mohamad Agemy, said he was trying to “stop the hate.” All the Christians were unhurt in the attack.
Mawyer urges all Americans to view the stoning video and call for a federal investigation. Mawyer plans to meet with congressional leaders in Washington in the upcoming weeks to demand an investigation and hold law enforcement—and those who stoned the Christians—responsible for their actions.
