Oxford Press bans mention of pork

This is utter lunacy. The world's largest university press has banned any word that might suggest pork so as not to offend Muslims. They say they also don't want to offend Jews, but that is disingenuous because Jews aren't demanding that the word "pork" or any of its relatives be banned from anything. Only Muslims make these absurd demands, and they become even more outrageous because companies give in to it. This political correctness is so lopsided in favor of Muslim demands that it would be funny if it wasn't so infuriating.

It wasn’t long ago where it was reported KFC had to remove alcohol cleansing moist towelettes from their stores because it was against the traditions of Islam to consume alcohol.

The KFC in question was in the UK, and it’s out of that same country where another demonstrably idiotic policy is taking effect.

Oxford University Press has forbidden their writers to mention pork in any of their writings so as to not offend Muslims.

That’s right, kiss the word bacon goodbye if you want one of your books published by the world’s largest university press.

Now to be fair, the Oxford University Press does claim the policy is also set in place so as to not offend Jews either… but that slight little addition is surely being included only so their move doesn’t look as shameful as it really is.

It’s not like Jews have been unilaterally clamoring for the entire world to bow down to the teachings of the Torah.

According to the International Business Times, writers can’t mention pigs, or “anything else which could be perceived as pork.” So that means the Oxford University Press won’t be able to talk about bacon, pork loins, pork tenderloins, pork chops, pork belly, ham, or anything else that comes from pigs.

The reason they have come to this decision is because they want their books to be available to the largest general audience as possible. So that means if they need to get rid of the mention of pork, then so be it.

A representative from the Press said:

Many of the educational materials we publish in the U.K. are sold in more than 150 countries, and as such they need to consider a range of cultural differences and sensitivities… Our editorial guidelines are intended to help ensure that the resources that we produce can be disseminated to the widest possible audience.

It’s absolute madness, is what it is.

Stories about the the over-the-top ways establishment organizations are acquiescing to Muslim demands show how the Islamists  are getting exactly what they want.

At a time where Muslims are gaining more and more power across the world, it’s worrisome how governments as well as large institutions are folding at the least bit of pressure.

You can be sure if this is allowed to continue then it’s not going to be a far distant future where Muslims become a protected religion. Islam might even become the religion of the state (in England) if things aren’t stopped before they get worse.

We’ve already seen how Obama refuses to condemn Muslims for their violence. What’s next? Will Obama make it a “hate crime” to talk about bacon in front of Muslims?
